predance

Our 3 year old predance program consists of a 45 minute creative dance class designed to be a fun-time experience and a first exposure to dance. Dancers will participate in simple song and dance routines, pantomime exercises and creative movement. The dancers wear ballet shoes and alternate between pre-ballet and tumbling on the mat.

combo

The hour-long Dance Combo class is designed to give 4-year-olds their first exposure to ballet and tap. A combination of 20 minutes of ballet movement, 20 minutes of tap rhythms, and 20 minutes of developmental tumbling helps dancers develop coordination, rhythm and balance. This class uses fantasy and fun songs to encourage personality growth.

essentials

Essentials is an hour class for 5 year olds who are enrolled in Kindergarten.  Students do a combination of ballet, tap, and jazz.  They build on the basics, including counting music, exploring rhythm, and memorizing basic dance steps.

ballet

Ballet is the basis of all dance.  This classical dance form uses grace, strength and balance to create flowing movement.  The technique a dancer learns from ballet carries over to all dance forms.

jazz

"West Side Story" helped pave the way for what we know today as jazz dance.  Many styles of this dance form exist and are influenced by many styles of music including rock, pop, hip hop and jazz. This is a high energy class that will get your blood pumping.

tap

Tap was born from the Irish jig and clogging.  Shoes with metal "taps" are worn to create sounds of rhythm.  "Theatrical" or "Broadway" tap is the style of tap performed in musicals like "42nd Street". "Rhythmic" tap is a street style that is less flashy and uses more intricate rhythms.

hip hop

Born on the streets of New York and Los Angeles, hip hop has become part of American culture.  From pop and lock to break dancing, hip hop is a true modern American art form. Free style and improvisation are part of this dance style, and can be seen in many movies and music videos.

musical theater

Becoming a "triple threat", show biz talk for being able to sing, dance and act.  Fine tune these three skills in our musical theater class.  Learn songs, scenes and choreography from Broadway shows.

tumbling

Our tumbling class focuses on the basic skills of balance, strength and stretch.  Acrobatic skills are taught and learned on mats, and no apparatus is used.
